The Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy builds on a broad-based foundation in liberal arts and sciences designed to strengthen critical thinking and communication skills to work with a diverse population in multiple healthcare settings. Graduates of this program will be able to understand all aspects of radiation therapy including effective patient care and education, treatment planning and radiation physics as well as the biological effects of radiation in a rapidly advancing high touch, highly technical profession.
4 years + practical training of 500 hours spread over a period of not less than 3 months in a Government Hospital or Pharmacy, which is recognized by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
A candidate seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science Degree Courses in the Allied Health Sciences course from Sl.No. 1 to 10 shall have studied English as one of the principal subject during the tenure of the course and for those seeking admission to the Bachelor of Science Degree Courses in the Allied Health Sciences courses from Sl.No. 1 to 8 mentioned above except for B.Sc. Imaging Technology and B.Sc. Radiotherapy Technology shall have passed:
17 years and above ( Only those whose date of birth falls on or before 31.12.2002 are eligible)
A minimum of 80% in both theory and practical (regular) class is essential to get eligibility for sessional as well as semester exam.
There shall be a minimum of three periodical tests preferably one in each term in theory and practical of each subject in an academic year. the average marks of the best of the two tests will be calculated and reduced to 20 in theory and 15 in practicals. The marks of IA shall be communicated to the university at least 15 days before the commencement of the university examination. The university shall have access to the records of such periodical tests.The marks of the internal assessment must be displayed on the notice board of the respective colleges with in a fortnight from the date test is held.
